      Drag, drop & edit on the org chart

      Functionly's organizational chart is designed to be easy to move positions and groups with drag and drop.

      In this section:

       

      Add a position

      1. Hover near a position or reporting line
      2. Click the blue plus icon

       

      Drag and drop positions

      1. Left-click on and hold any position
      2. Drag it to the desired location
      3. Release

      💡 You can tell where the position is going to drop by the blue outline that appears 💡

       

      Drag and drop branches of positions

      1. Left-click and hold on the position at the top of the branch or the square above it
      2. Drag the branch to where you'd like to locate it
      3. Release

       

      Move a manager without their reports

      1. Press Control (Windows) or Command (Mac)
      2. Right-click and hold on the position
      3. Drag the position to where you'd like to locate it
      4. Release

       

      Remove positions

      1. Right-click and hold on the position
      2. Drag to the bottom left
      3. Hold over "Drop here to remove"
      4. Release

       

      Undo any action

      1. Click the back arrow near the top right of your browser

       

      Your system's standard undo keys will also undo your last action, and if you can't undo to the point, you can use your scenario's history to restore older versions.

       

       

       

      Edit data on the org chart

      Steps:

      1. Click on any position in the org chart to open the right-hand menu
      2. Select on any field to edit the data for that position.
